In March 2019, after 18 months of detailed planning, we had the pleasure of welcoming 11 guests from Easy Access Travel, a US-based accessible travel company, for an unforgettable 18-day adventure across New Zealand.
From the moment we greeted them in Auckland, this fully customised tour was all about inclusion, adventure, and showcasing the very best of Aotearoa in a way that met every guest’s needs. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed to accommodate a range of mobility requirements while still offering a rich mix of cultural experiences, natural beauty, and bucket-list activities.
Tour Highlights
Throughout the journey, guests explored iconic locations across both the North and South Islands — from geothermal wonders in Rotorua to the dramatic landscapes of Fiordland and the adrenaline-fueled vibe of Queenstown.
One of the most inspiring moments? Watching two group members — one a bilateral amputee and the other a paraplegic — complete a skydive. Their courage and the sheer joy on their faces made it a moment none of us will forget.
Tour Leader Feedback
Group leader Debra Kerper shared this kind feedback:
“New Zealand... one for the books! Thank you for an amazing journey through New Zealand. You have outdone our expectations and we have enjoyed an exceptional experience.”
At Ability Adventures, we specialise in fully accessible New Zealand holidays — whether you’re travelling solo, as a family, or as a group. We take care of the details so you can focus on the experience.
